GBGSA Mission Statement
It is the mission of the Georgian Bay Golf Superintendents Association to serve its membership by activities that will advance and promote their profession, provide opportunities for education and networking and enrich the quality of golf and its environment in the Georgian Bay Area.
Event Philosophy
It is the philosophy of the Georgian Bay Golf Superintendents Association that the events we hold for our membership be based on providing an opportunity to network with fellow peers, educate our members on current practices, environmental issues, new legislation, innovations by fellow superintendents and to provide a day of enjoyment for our members. This is the basis behind the decision to remove the emphasis on scoring and prizing at our events. This change in direction happened some years ago and has continued during our current mandate of the GBGSA. Every effort will be made to distribute all prizes to Golf Superintendents and Assistants regardless of score or playing ability. We encourage every member to attend as many events as they can throughout the season and take advantage of the many opportunities that getting together with their peers can provide.
